This photo is actually three years old now (WHOA – where the hell does the time go?!), but it just popped up on my Facebook memories this morning, and I really want to re-share this photo with you all.
My wife Mandy was thumbing through a magazine way back when, and an image by a German photographer by the name of Randolph Knackstedt caught her eye, and she asked if we could do something inspired by that photograph, but even sexier. Challenge accepted! This was probably the most difficult photograph I’ve ever taken, and DEFINITELY the most difficult selfie I’ve ever taken. We set up three speedlights, then put the camera on the ground and on a ten second self-timer. I had to run back into the proper spot after each frame, hoping my head was framed in just the right spot. All in all, this one image took us around an hour and a half to capture, but it was worth it!
A couple other points to mention…. Clearly, Mandy does not skip leg day. And yes, I am absolutely wearing Uggs. Proudly wearing them, I might add. :)
